I Stand in the Grove - Print Series

Whether in a forest or an urban park, nearly everyone has had the experience of standing in a grove of trees. Each time we do this the experience is unique, changing with the location, weather, time of day and the individual. This series of poems all begin with the same line — I stand in a grove of trees — and seek to evoke a unique emotion or experience. Later on I incorporated the poems into a symbolic grove using a series of birch sticks for tree trunks with a single leaf attached to each, carrying a poem. These poems are of course written from my perspective. Perhaps you have your own? How might you complete the phrase?
